For the Father’s Day weekend, the Audette Racing team was in action at the Canadian Tire Motor Park with François Audette’s Camaro.
Throughout the weekend, the car has only progressed. The car even had the second fastest time at some point.
During the main race, the team qualified in the third position at the start line. Everything was going well for that moment. But just ahead, a car began to skid from left to right and vice versa and at the end, François car hit it.
“I did not know at all where I had to go … To the left, to the right, over it… But finally, I just picked it up! “François tells us after his shortened run.
Unfortunately, in the incident, the driver of the car ahead was slightly injured. He was taken to the hospital as a precaution, but has since gone out. He escaped with slight bruises and a possible slight concussion.
Currently, the car is being repaired and it is hoped that it will be ready for the Legends Summit on July 12 at the Mont Tremblant Circuit.
